The PolyPower smart EAP material has the ability to actuate, sense and convert energy: We have made some videos showing how the smart film can be used - ranging from basic functionality to concrete application types
We will try to add more videos as we build demonstrators and prototypes as we know that it can be difficult to imagine how the smart material actually works and if it actually can do all the things that we suggest. However, if you get an idea for a demonstrator (and why it is a good idea) , feel free to e-mail it to us - and if you build your own demonstrator using the PolyPower smart film, please do also send us a link to it on YouTube.

In addition to functioning as an actuator, the smart film also works as a sensor: The below video shows the other basic functionality - sensing - of the PolyPower smart EAP film. With the PolyPower material, it is possible to make compliant strain sensors that are long with large capacitive change and high.
